The hostel is located about 3 kms away from the main bus stand, in a quaint neighborhood, surrounded by nature, away from the touristy chaos of Kodaikanal town. Perumpallam is distinct from most areas within Kodaikanal as one could enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset in all its glory. A walk around the hostel itself is an experience to behold, with a lovely panoramic view of Kodaikanal nearby. There is also a trekking facility to the top of the hill overlooking the hostel!
The hostel has one eight bed dorm and two four bed dorms (all with attached bathrooms and 24/7 hot water), common areas ( a co-working hangout space, lawn / garden with bonfire facility, an activity centre, hall and dining). Amenities include high speed WiFi and a shared kitchen.The ambience and decor reflects the awe-inspiring Tamil traditional ethos and culture. Cabs and bike rentals at special rates are available at the hostel.
